Winter Camp
No pictures but Aedan decided it was time that he try to sleep outside like his Uncle Joel. We have a fairly large snow Igloo and so the other night we dug out our sleeping mats/tarps/cold weather sleeping bags and set him up to see if he could manage to unpack his stuff, get inside and go to sleep. He was able to go to sleep and Dad went outside at 12:30 in the morning and brought him back inside to his warm bed. Guess he could have made the whole night but didn't want him crabby in the AM. The temperature outside was down below 10° that night be I suppose inside it was maybe 28° to 30°F. Both boys want to try to sleep an entire night but we don't have enough room yet for them and dad. Need to do some more digging.....

Fun:) i remember having such huge snow forts on the farm..one we even dug a hole in the roof and hung a light bulb down into it for lighting! I remember having 2-3 door ways and rooms.. guess we lucked out with all the snow we had in our drive and a loader to scoop it into a huge pile. at work one day i made just a little pile with a shovel and the kids went crazy..guess they don't do that too often!!
dad was looking out the window yesterday and said, "if i was a kid i'd go down there and dig a hole right next to that wall, the snow looks really deep there...."
