We were SAD that this monstruous tree had Dutch Elm disease and had to go. We had even continued the schedule of injections to try to keep it healthy.
Strangely enough, we didn't miss it as much as we thought we would when all was said and done. Now we had a more convenient place to store the boat...although we may change our tune when we notice the lack of shade next summer.

wow when did you have that done..must have been recently! didn't see it gone when len and i were there the other night! were you or the kids home when it came down? that must have been excited and somewhat sad too!
hmm wait now that i look at that picture some more there isn't any snow on the ground! guess i haven't been too observent every time i've been over to your place and didn't even notice the tree gone!
We never noticed it was gone either! We have been there one time since for sure! Kind of reminds me of when dad had his mustache. gramma foner complained about it every time we went in there..and when he shaved it off she never noticed!!!
